🌍 Introduction

Temperate grasslands are found in the mid-latitudes. They have moderate climate and are suitable for farming and grazing. This chapter explains the Prairies and the Velds.

  • Scattered trees

🐘 Wildlife

  • Lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras

👩‍🌾 Life of People

  • Mixed farming practiced
  • Sheep rearing is common
  • Mining of gold and diamonds

🔄 Human Activities

People have modified grasslands for agriculture, mining and settlement. Modern technology has increased agricultural production.
