Location of India
India is located in the southern part of Asia.
The Tropic of Cancer passes almost through the middle of India.
India and Its Neighbours
India shares its boundaries with many countries.
India’s neighbouring countries are:

- Bhutan
- Bangladesh
- Myanmar
Sri Lanka and Maldives are our neighbouring island countries.
Physical Features of India
India has different physical features.

The Himalayan Mountains
The Himalayas are very high mountains in the north. They protect India from cold winds.

India has long coastlines on the east and west. There are also island groups like Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
