🔹 Very Short Answer Questions (1 Mark)
1. Write 25% as a fraction.
Answer: 25% = 25/100 = 1/4
2. Find the gain if CP = ₹500 and SP = ₹550.
Answer: Gain = 550 − 500 = ₹50
3. What is discount?
Answer: Discount is the reduction given on the marked price of an article.
4. Write the formula for Simple Interest.
Answer: SI = (P × R × T) / 100

6. Convert 0.75 into percentage.
Answer:
0.75 × 100 = 75%

Answer:

8. A shirt is bought for ₹600 and sold for ₹660. Find the gain percentage.
Answer:

Answer:

10. Find the selling price of a bicycle whose marked price is ₹4000 if a discount of 15% is given.
Answer:
Marked Price (MP) = ₹4000
Discount = 15% of 4000 = (15 ÷ 100) × 4000 = ₹600
Selling Price (SP) = 4000 − 600 = ₹3400
11. Find the Simple Interest and Amount when ₹3000 is invested at 8% per annum for 2 years.
Answer:
P = ₹3000, R = 8%, T = 2 years
SI = (3000 × 8 × 2) / 100 = ₹480
Amount = P + SI = 3000 + 480 = ₹3480
12. A shopkeeper buys an article for ₹2500 and sells it for ₹2875. Find the gain percentage.
Answer:
Gain = 2875 − 2500 = ₹375
Gain % = (375 ÷ 2500) × 100 = 15%
