🌱 Introduction

Natural vegetation refers to plants that grow naturally without human interference. Wildlife includes animals, birds and insects living in natural habitats.


🌍 Factors Affecting Natural Vegetation

  • Climate – temperature and rainfall
  • Relief – landforms and soil
  • Altitude – height above sea level

🌴 Types of Natural Vegetation

1. Tropical Rainforests

  • Found near the equator
  • Heavy rainfall throughout the year
  • Trees are tall and dense
  • Example: Amazon Basin

2. Tropical Deciduous Forests

  • Found in monsoon regions
  • Trees shed leaves in dry season
  • Example: India

3. Temperate Evergreen Forests

  • Found in mid-latitudes
  • Evergreen trees
  • Example: Coastal regions

4. Temperate Deciduous Forests

  • Trees shed leaves in autumn
  • Moderate rainfall
  • Example: Europe, USA

5. Grasslands

  • Less rainfall
  • Grass is the main vegetation
  • Example: Prairies, Steppes

6. Thorny Shrubs

  • Hot and dry regions
  • Plants have long roots
  • Example: Desert regions

Wildlife includes animals living in natural forests, grasslands and deserts.

  • Animals depend on vegetation for food and shelter
